Abstract
After a brief introduction a concise overview of more common clinical presentations of tertiary syphilis is given. Neuropsychiatric manifestations with their more insidious course are emphasized. The clinical outline is followed by a more detailed description of the serological methods of practical importance, and of their rational employment. Finally, the currently recommended therapeutic approach is summarized, with special consideration of neurosyphilitic and Penicillin-allergic patients.
