Abstract

A natural bijection is constructed between the odd-degree irreducible 2-Brauer characters of certain distinguished groups, and the characters of N_G(P) / P, whereP∈ Syl ₂(G). In these cases (and more), we show that these 2-Brauer characters are liftable to irreducible complex characters of G.
