Abstract

Viable populations were maintained in the closed ecosystem for up to 15 months, the only external input being photoradiation. One colony was given to Soviet astronauts for a 14 day flight onboard Cosmo-2044. Conditions in space had no apparent adverse effects on adults or developing embryos. -M.Dean
