Numerical Hartree-Fock characterization of the metastable u4 state of the Ne2- ion

Abstract

The metastable u4 state of the Ne2- anion is examined with the use of the numerical Hartree-Fock method. The results suggest that due to its similarity to the experimentally discovered g4 state of He2-, this state should also be long lived.
