title = "Novel FSK heterodyne single filter detection system using no IF frequency-locking loop",
abstract = "The authors have successfully demonstrated a 1.5-μm frequency-shift-keying (FSK), heterodyne, single-filter detection system with no requirement for an IF locking loop. The system utilizes lasers frequency-locked to an atomic line (Kr transition at 1.5224 μm) as both transmitter and local oscillator. Since this system does not require an IF locking loop, it is simple, easy to use, and able to initiate communication with no manual adjustment to match the frequencies of transmitter and local oscillator lasers.",
