Abstract

We present a new measurement of the branching ratio of the decay K_L→π^±e^∓ν _eγ (K_e3γ) with respect to K_L→π^±e^∓ν _e (K_e3), and the first study of the photon energy spectrum in this decay. We find BR (K_e3γ, E*_γ>30MeV, θ*_eγ>20°)/BR (K_e3)=0.908±0.008(stat)_-0.012 ^+0.013(syst)%. Our measurement of the spectrum is consistent with inner bremsstrahlung as the only source of photons in K_e3γ.
