Abstract

Recent studies suggest lymphoma surface and nuclear markers may be of both diagnostic and prognostic relevance. Specifically relevant are markers of tumor proliferation (Ki67), histocompatibility antigen (HLA), cell lineage (B versus T), and cell adhesion molecules (CD 22,44,56). Additionally, host response as measured by CD8 may be relevant to lymphoma relapse. Collectively, these tumor and host markers suggest new targets for 'phenotype-directed' therapy.
