Abstract

The multiplex sensors and the constant radiance theorem was presented. The coherent mode representation of the cross-spectral density was used to derive the modal analog of the constant radiance theorem with applicability to linear optical systems. The theorem was used for considering the relationship between the spatial detector geometry and multiplexing capacity.
