Abstract
We present the MUFASA simulations, a new suite of cosmological hydrodynamic simulations for galaxy formation and intergalactic medium evolution, and describe some use cases for MeerKAT science. The MUFASA simulations use state of the art modeling techniques and updated micro-physics prescriptions to produce among the most realistic descriptions of the galaxy population ever achieved numerically. Here we outline various avenues by which MUFASA will be used to help guide and interpret observations to be done with MeerKAT, focusing particularly on the LADUMA, MIGHTEE, MHONGOOSE, and MALS Key Project Surveys.
