Abstract
STUDIES in which sensory input is restricted to one cortical hemisphere have indicated that memory traces are established bilaterally and that the integrity of the corpus callosum is crucial to this dual trace system1. It seems that there is extensive communication between the two cortical hemispheres during both learning and retention.
