Abstract

The question of molecular spectral interferences by undis-sociated inorganic matrix salts is inevitably raised when the direct atomic absorption analysis of digested or untreated complex materials is considered. Data presented in these studies indicate that the problem is not nearly as serious for premixed flame systems as has been reported for electrothermal and total consumption burner atomization.
