Mobilities of O 2 + and O 2 - ions in femtosecond laser filaments in air

Abstract

The operation of the capacitive plasma probe commonly used for measurements of plasma density in laser filaments and sparks in gases is analyzed. The probe is employed to measure absolute mobilities of O 2 + and O 2 - ions produced through femtosecond laser filamentation in air.
