Abstract

The von Neumann entropy was analyzed at the output of a bosonic channel with thermal noise. Two bosonic channels, including the thermal noise channel and the classical noise channel, both belonging to the class of Gaussian completely positive (CP) maps were considered. The coherent-state inputs were conjectured in order to minimize the output entropy. It was shown that the output states resulting from coherent state inputs maximized the output states from other inputs.
