Abstract
The current entry focuses on the intersection of menstrual, antepartum, and postpartum health on the work experiences of those with uteruses. More specifically, we detail how the symptoms associated with menstruation, antepartum health conditions (e.g., morning sickness, hyperemesis gravidarum, preeclampsia, prenatal depression), and postpartum health conditions (e.g., postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis) have the potential to negatively impact employee well-being, in addition to hindering work-related performance and related outcomes. We conclude with a discussion of the organizational supports that may help reduce the detrimental effects of these health challenges, calling for organizations to not only offer social and formal support, but to also have open discourse around health-related issues of those with uteruses.
