Abstract
Previously, we demonstrated that production of gamma-interferon (γ-IFN) by the mouse splenocytes isolated at night was higher than from those isolated in the morning. In this paper we show that melatonin increased γ-IFN production by murine splenocytes. Moreover, this stimulating effect was significantly higher (10 times) in the cells isolated at night than in those isolated in the morning (2 times).
