Abstract

Oral administration of phenylbutazone, oxyphen‐butazone, mefenamic acid, flufenamic acid, or indomethacin, like salicylates or corticosteroids, retards skin wound healing in rats. The healing inhibitory action of any one of these anti‐inflammatory agents can be reversed by local application of retinoic acid.
