Abstract

A mechanically tunable grating is demonstrated by introducing titanium dioxide (TiO2) nanoscale dot gratings into soft, elastomeric polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS). In situ diffraction angle measurements of strain-induced grating response are backed by finite element modelling.
