Measuring the quantum state of a large angular momentum

Abstract

A new method to measure the unknown quantum state for an angular momentum of arbitrary magnitude is presented. For demonstration purposes, the implementation of this protocol for laser cooled Cesium atoms in the 6S1/2(F=4) hyperfine ground state is discussed.
