Abstract

We have analyzed Ω̄⁺ and Ω^- events produced in the inclusive reaction p + Be → Ω + X and have measured some properties of the Ω̄₊ and Ω^- hyperons via the decay Ω → ΛK → pπK. The measured Ω̄⁺ + lifetime was τ_Ω̄ = (0.823±0.038) × 10^-10 s (χ²/N_DF = 1.52). and the measured decay parameter was α_Ω̄ = 0.017 ± 0.077 (χ²/N_DF = 1.74). The corresponding values for the Ω^- were τ_Ω = (0.817±0.022) × 10^-10 s (χ²/N_DF = 1.17) and αΩ = -0.028±0.047 (χ²/N_DF = 1.49). In addition, the measurement of the normalized mass difference between the Ω̄⁺ and Ω^- yielded ΔM_Ω/M_Ω = (1.44±7.98) × 10^-5. The measurements were all in good agreement with CPT invariance.
