Abstract
The care of pediatric trauma patients in the emergency department, operating room, or intensive care unit requires an understanding of the unique anatomic and physiologic features of children. These features of children, the general assessment and management of the pediatric trauma patient, and the history and physical signs of the abused child are discussed in this section.
