Abstract

An analysis of the magnetization switching induced by spin polarized currents is presented. The dynamic equations for the spin accumulation and for the local magnetization were derived using semiclassical transport equation in the presence of exchange interaction between the spin accumulation and the local moment. A phase diagram on a number of cases where the solutions display a normal hysteresis, chaotic modes, and period non-damping modes was presented.
