title = "Linearized relative orbital motion dynamics in a rotating second degree and order gravity field",
abstract = "A new linearized time-varying ODE model is introduced for spacecraft relative motion in a rotating second degree and order gravity field. The model is standalone and does not require integration of the chief orbit, but is restricted for use with near-circular chief orbits. Previous models have considered the effect of C20 = – J2 alone, as well as additional zonal harmonics. However, the addition of C22 introduces additional time-varying dynamical effects due to the rotation of the primary body. Numerical simulations show that the newly obtained linearized model successfully captures these effects.",
