Abstract

Using Lie-transform techniques, we derive higher-order corrections to the path-averaged model governing evolution of dispersion-managed solitons in the spectral domain. The result holds in the case of arbitrary (including moderate and strong) dispersion. The general theory is illustrated by deriving the exact formulas + for a specific symmetric dispersion map.
