Abstract

We report a new high-sensitivity biosensor using athermal TM-mode SOI resonators with bulk and surface detection limits of 4.7×10-7 RIU and ∼100fg/mm2. Simple DFB harmonic dithering feedback techniques obviate spectrometers and tunable lasers.
