Abstract

The KTeV experiment has carried out a broad program of studies of rare kaon decays. In this paper we present results on KL →π⁰ KL →π⁰e⁺e^-?and KL →π ^;±e^∓νe⁺e^-. These decays provide a window for testing chiral perturbation theory. We find BR(KL →π⁰) = (1.30± 0.03)×10^-6,BR(K _L→π⁰e⁺e^-) = (1.90±0.16±0.12)×10^-8, and BR(K _L→π^±e^∓νe ⁺e^-)=(1.29±0.01±0.04)×10 ^-5. The KTeV measurements are competitive with or better than the world's best results in these decays.
