Abstract
Lingual and buccal administration of isosorbide dinitrate (ISDN) oral spray is theoretically more rapid in onset of action than sublingual tablet administration because the drug is absorbed from the tablet only after its dissolution. We studied the effect and the pharmacodynamic time course of ISDN spray in patients with acute deterioration of chronic congestive heart failure (CHF).
