Abstract

Preliminary screening of the aqueous extracts of Gutierrezia sarotbrae have shown antitumor activity against Sarcoma 180 in mice. The isolation, purification, and partial characterization of a proteinaceous material are reported. The procedures involved the use of solvent extraction, column chromatography, dialysis, and electrophoretic and spectrophotometric techniques.
