Abstract

An integral pulse ultrasonic nebulizer-burner system is described which combines the desirable characteristics of flame atomization with an ultrasonic nebulizer system capable of reproducibly nebulizing small volumes of solution. Data are presented comparing this sytem with a conventional pneumatic slot burner system, showing improved sensitivity and a reduction in the required sample volume.
