An extensive International Advisory Committee was polled for recommendations on the program, which was finally put together by a Steering Committee composed of Dr. M.W. (Drag) Anders (Univ. Rochester), Dr. Tom Baillie (University of Washington), Dr. Judy Bolton (University of Illinois-Chicago), Dr. Serrine Lau (University of Arizona), Dr. Peter Moldeus (Astra Zeneca, Sweden), Dr. Terrence Monks (University of Arizona), Dr. Bob Snyder (Rutgers Univ.), Dr. David Williams (Oregon State University), and Dr. Donna Zhang (University of Arizona). Rafael de la Torre (IMIM-Hospital del Mar, Barcelona) was chairperson of the Local Organizing Committee for the Barcelona meeting, and was assisted by A. Messeguer (CSIC, Barcelona), G. Jane (Palaupharma, Spain), J.A. Vericat (Zeltia Group, Spain), E. Vilanova (University of Alicante), M.J. Gomez-Lechon (University of Valencia, Hospital La Fe), J.
