Intensity noise transfer in interferometric wavelength converters

Abstract

Interferometric semiconductor optical amplifier wavelength converters are shown to have strong influence on the relative intensity noise of the converted channel. Ways of A Ip out improving the noise performance of the wavelength converter are discussed.
