Abstract
Using a full microscopic many-body theory, an attempt was made to compute four-wave mixing spectra of a thin semiconductor quantum well microcavities within the lowest-order nonlinear regime. Focus was on heavy-hole 1s excitons and corresponding two-exciton correlations. Evidence was obtained that there is a non-trivial interplay between linear excitonic lineshapes and nonlinear four-wave mixing spectra.
