Abstract

Engineering employers continue to express the importance of strong communication skills, which is also one of the goals of ABET 2000 accreditation criteria. Writing exercises are integrated into a senior/graduate level technical elective course to study the effects of exposure and practice on the writing abilities of the students. The memo writing activity during the course are encouraging, few suggestions that might help improve the experience for the instructor and/or the students.
