Abstract

The United States invests billions into clinical and health-related R&D, but there is still a considerable time lag between research discovery and implementation. Dissemination and implementation (D&I) research has rapidly developed to translate these discoveries to the frontlines of healthcare. This chapter outlines a five-step process for designing D&I research in the field of interventional radiology. This process involves defining the problem, identifying viable implementation strategies, developing appropriate research questions, defining measurable outcomes, and utilizing a study design that suits the implementation.
