Abstract
In this review, the authors discuss some of the important aspects of tumor immunology and immunotherapy as related to the lung cancer problem. Advances in general clinical immunology, tumor immunology and immmunotherapy in other disease areas now permit the development of a rational plan for the immunotherapeutic approach to human lung cancer. This, combined with conventional treatment and new developments in chemotherapy, will be the wave of the future in this disease.
