N2 - Visible imaging systems are important for many applications in both the defense and commercial sectors. Mission-critical tasks such as surveillance, target detection, object identification, and tracking are enabled by high-fidelity visible imaging. In this paper we propose an imaging system that uses active illumination to (a) reduce imager complexity and (b) provide improved image quality in high noise environments as compared with traditional imaging methods.
