Abstract

Measurements were conducted on two cathode ray tube (CRT) displays to determine the image quality of the displays, particularly the display function and the squarewave response. The influence of image quality on diagnosis in mammography was determined by observer performance studies at different CRT maximum luminance values. Maximum luminance was observed to affect the observer performance.
