Abstract
Evaluation of patients with recurrent sinopulmonary infections and dyscrasias of immunoglobulin production, particularly of IgA, disclosed the presence of antibodies to IgA, cow's milk, bovidae proteins, and tissue antigens. These antibodies may have clinical significance as indicators of those individuals susceptible to diseases whose etiology may be considered in part to be of an autoimmune nature. They may also be of clinical significance because of their possible in vivo interaction with common or crossreacting antigens present in administered or transfused blood products. 1973 AABB
