Abstract

Contains 45 papers presented at a symposium held during the 20th General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics. Papers address the topic of the effects of vegetation, soil and atmosphere upon hydrological phenomena. Papers are divided into four themes: moisture, radiation and temperature fluxes at the atmosphere, soil and vegetation interfaces (16 papers); modelling of water movement and chemicals in soil (11); physiological behaviour of plants in relation to water and chemicals (6); and case studies and field investigations at plot and catchment scales (12). Papers are abstracted separately. -N.Davey
