abstract = "We propose a hybrid probabilistic-geometric-shaped (HPGS) 8-PAM signaling scheme, as a candidate suitable for data centers' communications. The properly chosen HPGS 8-PAM parameters for different SNR-regions allows us to closely approach the Shannon limit. We demonstrate that LPDC-coded HPGS 8-PAM outperforms both probabilistic-shaped and uniform LDPC-coded 8-PAM schemes.",
