Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel hybrid amplitude/phase/polarization (HAPP) LDPC-coded-modulation-scheme suitable to achieve 100 Gb/s optical transmission rate and beyond with coding gain of 7 dB and above. The proposed scheme introduces up to 3 dB performance improvement over the corresponding QAM scheme at BER of 10-6.
