Abstract

The paper deals with the exchange-tunnel states of a tetrahedral tetrameric hole-type cluster d1-d2-d2-d2 used as a model of metal core of vrious protiens. A new method for group-theoretic classification ofthe quantum states of mixed-valence clusters is suggested. The nature ofthe ground spin state of the above systems has been investigated. The effect of partial spin alignment depending on the double exchange parameter value is discussed.
