Abstract
Block copolymers based on poly(para-phenylene) (PPP), poly(para-phenyleneethylene) (PPE), poly(fluorene) (PF) and poly(indenofluorene) (PIF) were studied by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). It was observed that these polymers have all in common a rigid-rod structure, strongly anisotropic electronic properties, high and stable photoluminescence quantum yield in the solid state, and electroluminescence in the blue-green region.
