High-speed standoff chemical plume detection using swept-wavelength external cavity quantum cascade lasers

Abstract

We characterize performance of a standoff detection system based on a swept-wavelength external cavity quantum cascade laser (ECQCL) tuned from 955-1195 cm-1 (8.37-10.47 μm) at 400 Hz for detection of transient chemical plumes.
