Abstract
The hadronic production of dielectrons in the region has been measured with a mass resolution of 0.17% using incident protons with momentum of 800 GeV/c. The cross sections of the resonances are compared with the predictions of a gluon-fusion model. The dielectron continuum is also compared with the Drell-Yan prediction, and the K factor is extracted. The results on the mean transverse momentum of the resonances and that of the continuum are also presented.
