Abstract

Better understanding of the function and role of the cerebral lymphatic and glymphatic vasculature is required to understand their role in circulation, waste removal, diagnosing age related impairments, and design of novel therapeutic agents. AdaptiSPECT-C, a dedicated brain SPECT imaging system is being developed for clinical and dynamic imaging, and to aide in the development of novel imaging agents and therapeutics. AdaptiSPECT-C is designed as a modular multipinhole SPECT camera, capable of achieving high resolution and high sensitivity, with patient head motion tracking and correction. Herein, through simulated imaging we report our results towards high spatial resolution imaging (0.5 mm) of the superior sagittal lymphatic vasculature modeled in the XCAT phantom.
