Abstract

A variety of heterogeneous integration techniques exist. Certain methods are more advantageous for particular applications. Overall, the field is advancing at a very quick rate. This promises to provide miniaturization and high packing densities to a variety of electro-optical components. The field shall surely advance quickly over the next few years.
