Abstract
X-ray emission from plasmas produced in solids by intense, femtosecond laser pulses was presented. The temperatures of hot electrons created in the plasma was obtained and discussed. A chirped pulse amplification (CPA) custom built terawatt laser that emitted 100 fs pulses at 10 Hz at 800 nm at maximum energy of 20 mJ2 was used to perform experiments.
