Abstract
We study the deconfinement transition in finite-temperature lattice QCD, using a simple extension of the usual plaquette action. We find that the extension does not dramatically improve the approach to asymptotic scaling of the deconfinement temperature as the lattice spacing is reduced. However, we do find that the perturbation-theory calculations of the relations of the parameters for the different actions are approximately satisfied.
