Abstract

There are different approaches in order to predict the nonlinear moment-rotation relationship of human cervical spine. In this study, a geometrical accurate, nonlinear finite element model of C3-C7, based on CT images of a human cervical was developed. The model predicted the moment-rotation relationship of lower cervical spine, under physiologic moments of 0.33, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2Nm.
