Abstract

An introduction to gas diffusion layer (GDL) in fuel cells is presented. The topics covered include what GDLs are, how they are made, how they work, and what research is being carried out to address the challenges involved with preparing GDLs for liquid and in proton-exchange membrane fuel cells.
